ORTHODONTICS
Unfortunately, we aren’t always content with the alignment and position of our teeth. Whether it’s down to genetics or external factors, it’s a simple fact that every person’s teeth are different. If you’re not happy with your smile, Charlestown Dental Centre wants to make sure that you’re leaving the dental surgery with a wide grin.
Our orthodontics services are performed by expert orthodontists, skilled with all kinds of installations and procedures to make sure your teeth look the way you want them to. We cater to both adolescents and children and walk you through each step of the process.
BRACES & RETAINERS
The first step for most teeth realignment treatments is the installation of braces. Braces can be painful at first, but with proper teeth maintenance and regular checkups, you’ll be thankful that you got them installed once they come off, especially when they’re installed by the professionals at Charlestown Dental Centre.
To maintain the positive effects of braces, during and after treatment, it’s important to wear teeth retainers. These retainers are typically worn at specific points of the day, usually at bedtime, to help reduce the shifting of teeth to previous positions.
INVISIBLE BRACES & INVISALIGN
For adults, it might seem unusual or uncommon to get braces past adolescence. In reality, it’s a lot more common than you’d expect. Some may not like the appearance of braces, so we are happy to report that we install invisible braces such as Invisalign.
Invisalign, provided by Charlestown Dental Centre, is available for all ages. It’s a popular choice for those who want braces that are subtle and work on restoring your teeth’s alignment over time.
PALATE EXPANDERS & REMOVABLE APPLIANCES
For other orthodontics procedures, Charlestown Dental Centre also has you covered. We also install palate expanders and removable appliances.
Palate expanders are recommended to be used before puberty and can help correct conditions such as crossbite or overcrowded teeth.
Removable appliances are a type of retainer and can be used for correcting simple issues, such as a mild overbite.
